International Cooking competition for European Chefs

Euro-Toques Finlande and Suomen Messut will organize cooking competition for European Chefs

" European Chef Award "

The main goals for competitions are:

  1. Create communication network between European chefs
  2. Promote Finnish quality products to collegues in Europe

Conditions:

2 persons are invited from each country:

1 Chef

1 Assistant (age under 22)

Competition will take place 12.03 2007 from 09.00 to 16.00

Rules of competition

 

  1. The competition is open for chef´s who will be under 40 years by March 12. 2008
  2. Each competitor may be accompanied by a cuisine commis who will be under 22 years by March 12. 2008.
  3. Competitors is asked to send they CV to organizers before competion.
  4. Each Competitor has a kitchen equipped with normal kitchen machinery, list of machinery and utensils will follow.
  5. Competitors are requested to present recipes to members of Jury in english of all dishes before the competition will start.
  6. Competitors will make two different dishes. One vegetarian starter and one main course.
  7. Main ingredients for vegetarian starter: Jerusalem arthicoke and potato. In starter must be at least three different components and sauce.

    Main Ingredients for main course: three whole Capon, King Oyster –mushroom and smoked bacon

    Secondary ingredients provided by organizers, list will follow.

  8. Time available for presentation.
  9. Total time for competition is four hours.

    Starter must be presented after two and half hours and main course to present after four hours.

  10. Competitors will present six portions of each plate, five for members of Jury and one for presentation.
  11. Competitors are allowed to use they own plates and complementary serving objects.
